There is a Bracellos family in Tulare, Ca. One of them, Anthony
Bracellos, has written a novel based on his family. The title of the book is
"Land
of Milk and Money"

I've recently come across my GG grandfathers Baptism record Jose De Sousa
Dias -Ponta Delgada/Flores 1878- record #32. (son of Manuel Filisberto
Dias) In this record it states that his neto Paterno was Filisberto Jose De
Barcellos.

My questions if anyone can help out are:

1.) Is the name De Barcello a common Portuguese surname? I've never heard
of this name before and i lived in a very Portuguese neighbourhood.
2.) From reading this baptism record it looks like it says the Padrinho is
also Filisberto Jose De Barcellos...is it common for the grandfather to
also be the padrinho?

Thnxs for any help.
A.
