thank you all so much for this great reply. I have another question - The unclear second name of the bride Teresa/Theresa (Maria??) It does look like Maria on her marriage record. However, I went back and looked at the marriage record of her daughter Francisca Josefa and her parents are named as Lucas Teixeira and Theresa de Jesus (?).
