While on vacation in Ponta Delgada in 2011 I was able to locate the Baptismal record book for the Village of Agua de Pau from 1873. There is a room on the second floor of the bibliotheca [library] where you give the worker the village name and the year and they bring you the original record book from that village/year. They let you look through it and they will make copies for you while you wait. I'm sure that the record book for the Village of Sao Vicente Ferreira for that year is available at the bibliotheca. I have a co-worker who was born in that village and I visited it and took a few photos for him. It is very beautiful, on the north coast of Sao Miguel. I need informaton from 1883. i am looking for baptism and names of parents for Carolina Pereira born in 1883.
