@pam, I saw Rich's post after I submitted mine and it seems to be working exceprt for the passport area. @Cheri, my questions concern the passport lists. In a prior post I had asked whether or not someone needed a passport to leave or could they just show up and declare their intentions to leave. On your reply you suggested that I look at the passports for 1906. I searched all of 1906 and have not found them. I believe I might have seen it in an earlier year, but I'll have to look again. So here are my questions: 1. How accurate are the passport pages on the CCA site? 2. Were passports required prior to leaving, or could you (& your family) just show up declare your intentions to leave, sign a contract, and get your names placed on the passport pages? 3. I understand for families one of the parents would get the passport and the spouse and children would be listed on the last page, but could multiple families be listed on the same passport? I ask this because Karen Boggs, a member of this group, her great (1 or 2 X's?) grandmother Rosalina Duarte (nee de Medeiros) is related (sister or sister-in-law) to my 2X great grandmother Margarida Duarte (nee de Medeiros). We are in the process of exchanging GEDCOM files. I also know that after the S.S. Suveric left Funchal, Madeira on 10 Oct they discovered 500 stow-aways on board. It would be hard for a family of seven to hide on a ship. Paul G. On Saturday, December 22, 2012 7:45:12 PM UTC-5, Cheri Mello wrote:
