Hi Marilyn,

My husband's grandfather and his parents lived in the village of Sao Roque
on Sao Miguel. I'm told it is directly beside Ponta Delgada. Antonio
PACHECO was born there ~1885. I don't know when his parents were born,
but can .guess around 1850's. They were Joao PACHECO and Jacinta
COSTA. I know nothing else about that couple, so I don't know about
their siblings, or about other children they might have had. Around
1905 Antonio, at Age 20, migrated to the US and settled in Cambridge,
MA. I do not know who he traveled with, and I don't know if he had
relatives here.

(I have posted many times on this Group and on the Lists at
www.rootsweb.com )

In Cambridge, "Tony" married Elsie MOURA who had arrived in MA/US as a
12-yr-old. She went to live with a family in Boston. Around Age 19
she married "Tony" in Cambridge. Her mother and 4 siblings came over,
also. I can't find Francisco MOURA (the father) after his family came to
MA/US. Just an FYI for you.

Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA)

(Because of my husband's serious illness 2 yrs. ago, I have not been
active in genealogy for that time. He is fine now, about 90% recovered
from 9 hrs. of brain surgery 2 yrs. ago.)
