Sometimes, I think she's Josefa do Rosario because she had been praying the
rosary during that pregnancy and sometimes I think she's Josefa da
Conceição because she'd been praying to Our Lady of the Conception during
that pregnancy.

George Pacheco told that historically, the mother was not present at the
baptism.  She was home in bed recuperating from the birth.  The husband or
godparents who went to the baptism may not have known her middle name,
especially if she went by her first name.  So they took a guess.
