This is sooooooooo close to my grandfather and great-grandfather, both
Joseph Silva/Sylvia/daSilva. Joe Jr was born in Fairhaven 1901, but died
in Florida, so that's out. Now Joe Sr, I thought was born in St. Michaels
but that is based on family lore, he died in New Beford and I think buried
at St. John's and have no clue when. I have nothing on his immigration. I
found him on the naturalization index, got the film, but wouldn't you know,
his record is missing from the files. His spouse was
Maggie/Margaret/Margarida. I'm at a wall for years now at my
great-grandparents, partially becuase I have no been able to figure out how
the names change with marriages.

If you still have it, I'd sure like to see the death certificate. Email me
at [email protected].
Thanks!
