The Exhibit Hall (with vendors and societies) is free this year (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
The Thursday special session is on DNA. The lunch speaker is Henry Louis Gates and the keynote speaker is Spencer Wells. Registration for this special session is a bit pricey in my book ($225) but in addition to the 2 big name speakers above, they flew in some other DNA speakers who are also fairly well known in the DNA world (and they also have local DNA speakers too). So I guess that explains the cost. More can be found here: http://goo.gl/BBpLZ The actual conference or Jamboree is on the following dates: Friday 12:00pm to 6:00pm Saturday 7:00am to 6:00pm Sunday 7:00am to 12:00pm* * There are events on Friday morning too (I'll be there from about 10 a.m. to close). More can be found here: http://goo.gl/c1ZfC I think registration for Jamboree (to hear speakers) is about $75 to $100 (depending on the number of days). I tried to find the prices online, but they don't seem to have them posted. Lisa Caetano Harley's email was in the thread dedicated to DNA. It's lisahbskt at aol.com I think she's Pico & Sao Jorge ancestry. She'll answer you to confirm. ** Cheri Mello Listowner, Azores-Gen Researching: Vila Franca, Ponta Garca, Ribeira Quente, Ribeira das Tainhas, Achada -- For options, such as changing to List, Digest, Abridged, or No Mail (vacation) mode, log into your Google account and visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/Azores.
