Peak Pike is an obvious corruption, but of what... At first glance, I'd say it refers to the island of Pico, which is adjacent to Faial, but the closest I can come on the name of the village would be Porto do Pico. However, on the island of Sao Miguel, there's a village named Pico da Pedra, in the Concelho of Ribeira Grande. There are other places w/ similar combinations, w/o an identifier you'll be grasping at straws. I know because I've had the same experience, sorry.
