I can't believe I wrote Ribeirinha. Yes, it is in the concelho of São Roque.
Ribeirinha is just a tiny freguesia that used to be part of Piedade.

Hi Group,
A correction to the information below that Doug posted.
My home is in Santo Amaro, Pico. Santo Amaro is one of five freguesia's of Sao Roque. The five are:
Sao Roque, Santo Antonio, Santa Luzia, Prainha and Santo Amaro.......all of which have their own parish churches.....ours in Santo Amaro is very beautiful and was built in 1736.
Riberinha is a freguesia of Lajes and as such has NO connection to our freguesia's of Sao Roque. Riberinha is to the east of Santo Amaro......I am able to sit on my front porch and see the village which is a fair distance away......for the last 2 night's it has been lit up with many extra lights down at the port for the "Chicharro Festa"......although since the chicharro's have not been plentiful they have for several years used sardines instead although this year there are more chicharro's......everyone is invited to the festa to feast on the fish with bread.....very nice!
