Nah, I think it's just kind of the "newbie" researcher thing whether you got into genealogy at 16, 26, or 76. A "newbie" finds the first few pieces of info that leads to another few pieces of information and in all the excitement of following the paper trail successfully I think newbies just don't document where it came from. (That sentence is a grammatical disaster!)
