Many thanks for the information, George. I gather from some later postings that you have not been well lately. I hope you are doing better. I should note that I heard from Joao Ventura who gave me information about the Univ of Minho work summarizing the church records and have found a great deal of information from the entries for Cedros and Salao. The last entry relevant to my family is a 1712 marriage record in Cedros for Joao Fialho and Anna Furtado. Now if I can just make the jump to Pico for the birth/baptism of Joao.
