So it's a matter of confusion because there is more than just one Sao Sebastiao and she showed us the one on Terceira.
Yea, it's most likely a dead end. There are some rare cases that list someone as an exposta, but then goes on to name the mother. But I doubt it will happen in this case or most any other case.
Cheri is right, just find all your other ancestors first.

Linda J has already stated that the Passaporte from Sao Miguel to Hawaii said Leonor was from the Matriz (S.Sebastiao) in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, and I found the marriage of Leonor on Sao Miguel island which also stated that she was born to paes incognitos in Sao Sebastiao in the city of Ponta Delgada, on the island of Sao Miguel. Leonor is not going to suddenly be born on some other island. She's born in Sao Sebastiao in Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel. It's not productive for list members to translate ever Leonor in every freguesia on every island. Either the film needs to be ordered from the correct Sao Sebastiao, or wait for it to be uploaded, or hire a researcher to find it. But the baptism of a child born to pais incognitos generally will not shed any additional clues.It's best to trace the other lines and get them fairly well documented and then use DNA to figure out the remaining branch from Leonor.
