The problem I have is that I can’t figure out how the database entry for “Surra” was derived nor can I find any indication that “Surra” is a Portuguese surname. There are other mysteries revolving around the database entries, but those are for another day. I am hoping that someone can read and translate the two records I found and offer any insights on the “Surra” name. The file names indicate the page number and database of the image on the CCA site.
