Below is a link to a marriage certificate between Antonio de Lima and Felilianna de Jesus. (They are the ones on the right). I've been staring at this for hours today and finally have to admit I need help.
Although it's legible, my Portuguese on marriage records is limited. There's lots of wording and names before the names of the couple. I can't decipher the name of the testigos- since it says "cazado" I guess they're friends or family(?) It says Antonio de Lima was widowed from Francisca de Sao Jose, buried ? ) in the church or this church of ??? Thats another place where I can't translate or read the handwriting. I thought Their parents names would be entered but I don't see them. I wanted to find his parents but the priest didn't list them but maybe if I can find the first wife maybe I'll find them. Also, I m not sure of the parents name for Felilianna. Is that an abbreviation for Botelho? Her mother's name I totally can't figure out. I hope someone will be able to help me with this.
