OK, my guide with pictures is in a file that I can't read at the moment. So
I don't know if it's current. But I was able to access my screen shots
that I used to create that handout.

In PAF:
1) From the Menu Bar (the File, Edit..etc), left click File, then pick
Export...
(Note: Anytime you see an ellipsis (the ...) after a word, that means
there's going to be another window with options for you).

2) Next window: Pick the button next to: Other GEDCOM 5.5. Under that, it
says something about Char Set. If you have diacritics (accented letters),
pick ANSI from the drop down. Click the Export... button at the end.

3) You get the warning window which is warning you about the diacritics.
Click Yes.

4) Next window is asking to name the file and where you want to save it.
Name it and pick where you want to save it. I like the Desktop because
that's easy for me to navigate to in a later step. Do what you like to do.
===============================
Now go to your FTDNA page and log in.
1) There's the dark blue (or black on some monitors) navigation bar across
the top that starts with the words Home, My Account, Projects....Point at
My Account and when the menu drops down, left click (once) GEDCOM/Family
Tree.

2) Next window: Click the orange Next button

3) Next window: Click the gray Browse... button and find the location
where you saved your file on your computer. Click on your file.

4) Click the orange Upload button.

5) Pick the person who took the DNA test.

6) You have 3 privacy options. Hide the details of everyone (living or
dead) who were born in the last 100 years, Hide the details of the living
only, or Show Everyone. (You can toggle between these and check out how it
looks before settling on one of the settings).

7) After it uploads, you can click View Your Pedigree Chart. If you found
a mistake, don't like what you see, or it's been a couple of years since
you've uploaded a recent Gedcom, you can take it down and upload a new
one. And if you have an old upload (from the days when we did separate
files for paternal and maternal sides), you'll have to delete your pedigree
chart and upload a new one.

Sorry I couldn't access the file! Hope the step by step works though!
