I bought this book and enjoyed reading the fictional characters' journey from the Azores to Canada. I just thought with the holidays arriving, some folks might want to have something new to read or buy it for someone you know. I've also just started his latest book 'Kicking the Sky' ...also fictional but from the viewpoint of young boys of Azorean immigrants in Toronto during the time of the murder of the 'Shoeshine boy'...which was a true incident in the 70's that shook the whole Portuguese community. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2454933.Barnacle_Love
