Try this site for Massachusetts Marriages http://www.sec.state.ma.us/arc/arcsrch/SearchWelcome.html it is free. The us census records are on the internet as well and are free at https://archive.org/details/us_census I think the census is also on Family Search https://familysearch.org/ I have used Ancestry search to get an idea as to what records to search only but have never joined.

I need to make several Marriage and Death inquiries and just checked www.archives.com that looks nice and clean and has a one year subscription for 30$. I am looking for a Manuel Rocha that according to his birth record was married in Fall River in 1910. Looks like he his a brother of my G G Grandfather. What are your suggestions? I know there are probably hundreds of sites offering these services, like ancestry.com, family-search and so on, I wonder if there are some free governmental services, similar to CCA? cheers -- Ricardo Chaves -- For options, such as changing to List, Digest, Abridged, or No Mail (vacation) mode, log into your Google account and visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/Azores.
