Rodney F, I found my RQ people coming from Ponta Garca. Ponta Garca is closer. From east to west: Ribeira Quente, Ponta Garca, Ribeira das Tainhas, Sao Miguel Arcanjo in Vila Franca, Sao Pedro in Vila Franca (today they are about 2 blocks apart), then Agua d'Alto.
I'm guessing that the earliest marriage book for RQ is lost or destroy :( Hopefully your people came from PG instead.
