Hi Hermano, I was 9 years old when my Mom and Dad married in the Catholic church. She was divorced, and married in church just could not get married at alter, was married at communion rail. This was in a small town in northern Ca. The same priest that baptized me officiated. I think Father Roberts had to get a dispensation. Another girl I was in school with went through divorced parents and remarriage in church. I think this was allowed because in my case my mom was never married in church and my friend was because her father was abusive. Margie In a message dated 2/4/2014 1:58:38 P.M. OK the Catholic Church didn't allow nor does it still allow divorced people to remarry (certain exceptions ?) unles the previous spouse ha died. Actualy even in our informed society (?) they still are.
