Maria, Miguelina is a female version of Miguel it was a way to distinguish from Maria this or Rosa that. As for the maternal grandparents, that is it. You can search for the baptism and hope it describes what happened.
I Pico I have seen where the baby was dropped at the front door of someone's home or left on the street near someone's home. One call guess if the baby was from someone in the house or for other reasons.
