It looks like the priest uses an older style of writing, possibly from Spanish influence. He spells names with variations and Medeiros with an i, Mideiros: Miguel, filho de Filepphe Marques e sua mulher Maria Fernandes desta Vila, born 27th, Sept- 1704, bap- Oct 3, of said year. Padrinhos Gonsallo de Mideiros de Almeida e sua filha Antonia da Silva all residents of this village parish of NS dos Anjos, where he was baptised in the parish of his parents. They married between March 1703 and September 1704. Their children are baptized in Agua de Pau and so are his children from his first marriage. I have looked in Matriz de Santa Cruz and N.S. Rosario but they are not there. Can anyone suggest some other nearby churches that they may have gone to for their marriage?
