In case anyone doesn't already know, this name is also a given name.
My second cousin has the name Jácome.
As a surname, it is also found on Terceira as far back as the early 1500s.

I've also wondered about the surname Jacome. There are a few places that I've seen it quite a bit: Nordeste, Sao Jorge, and Nordestinho. An ancestor of mine is a Manuel Jacome Rapozo, Sao Jorge, Nordeste
I'm going to do some research of the surname Jacome and will post back here in the late hours of the night.
