Hi Melinda My dad and your dad are showing up as possible 2nd-4th cousins but no mention of any Jewish Diaspora relationship. The first time I went on the my origins page when I clicked on the little balloons on the bottom right hand side of the page, nothing happened, but I went on today, lo and behold both my maternal and paternal most distant ancestors are showing up with balloons over extreme Northern Portugal and also above where the Azores or maybe Madeira are on the map. I don't know which group of Islands, the map doesn't show, but the balloons are located west of Portugal in what appears are either the Azores or possibly Madeira. It would be good to know which. Just as I suspected all along, I am Portuguese. LOL LOL. There is a smattering of other ethnicities but that is to be expected. European history and geography tells us that, so there aren't any surprises. In fact the results as far as I am concerned, don't tell me anything that I would consider as new or any new revelations. Also the total number is more than 100% but Cheri Melo explained that they probably round up, which would explain that as well.
I also show a match to another person on this forum. but I am not surprised by that because she and I had exchanged some information back a few months ago, and had discovered that we shared some common paternal ancestors.
