Dear John Raposo , I'm a descendent of Francisco de Fonseca de Miranda who went and married in Brasil around 1770, the only thing I know was that he was from S. Miguel, Azores. He had 13 children and lived till age of 80 y/o when he died(1812) , died suddenly, no testament. His 4th son was Matias Pires de Medeiros, and his grandson was Jose dos Santos e Oliveira Velho, those were my 4th and 3rd grandparents.In your Mirandas do you see any Fonseca de Miranda ? The names Medeiros and "Oliveira Velho" have no relationship to his wife Maria do Rego Pires de Souza, nor to Matias wife Delfina Eufrasia de Jesus,(daughter of Manoel Ayres do Amaral , de Coimbra e Catarina Maria dos Reis de Guaratingueta, S.
