It's very easy to learn this information.

Just go to the first couple of years of those records and read where the people were baptized.
It should take you just a few minutes and you'll know.

Hi Cheri,

Did you happen to find that book that has the freguesia that Sete Cidades split off from? I have searched through all of the church records for surrounding villages and have been unable to find my great great grandmother's birth record. I know she was born in Sete Cidades in March 1874.

If not, does anyone have any alternative suggestions for locating records from Sete Cidades.
