It looks like Thomasia da Glória to me, but I could be wrong. Thomasia, Tomásia, Tomazia, etc, I have seen before but the double ss makes me wonder. Thomasina?Thomassina?

The dates fit, his birth marriage and date of death all fit. Thanks to someone on this list, who pointed it out to me, I checked all the dates and they all fit. Coincidentally 100 years earlier in 1774 a man also named Joao do Rego Alves was getting married in Sao Pedro Ribeira Seca SAo Miguel. That man was the great grandfather of the exposto's wife Cecilia da Conceicao Pacheco. She married the exposto on 1 Feb 1892 in NS da Estrela RG. Any theories or connections? Fascinating!!!
