The records of Ribeira das Tainhas prior to the date of their own records can be found in Vila Franca Matriz, or Sao Pedro VF, or Ponta Garca. This is because that fraguesia was small and is in between and on the border of both Ponta Garca and Vila Franca. You may have to look in all three to find your ancestors. And this fraguesia should not be confused with the Vila Franca area known as Ribeira Seca (recently designated a fraguesia.) May I ask, whom are you looking for?
