Carlo, We have only one Galante who came to Hawaii from Lagoa, Santa Cruz, Manuel da Costa Galante born abt 1862 and his wife Maria de Jesus de Rego (b abt 1863) on the Abergeldie. they had children Ricarda (84), John (88), Isabelle (93) and Emilia (1901). we will print off what we have on this family and mail it to you. our database has over 278,000 Portuguese immigrants and their descendents to Hawaii. there is no charge for our service. send your mailing address to [email protected]. there were 2 other Galante families, but they were from Furnas. thank you Dan Nelson, president Portuguese Genealogical and Historical Society of Hawaii
