Someone (a female) showed me a tombstone photo of her ancestor a number of
years ago. She was unable to find her freguesia. On the front of the
tombstone was her immigrant ancestor's usual stuff (name, dates born &
died). On the back was written "Three Rivers" - some number and Rivers. I
can't quite remember. This was written in English. This was her freguesia!

I can't remember who it was exactly. My vague recollection was she lived
in California (maybe San Diego) and the tombstone was from Massachusetts.

So, if you are the person who this vague story applies to, drop me an
email. I'd like a picture of your tombstone please.

Thanks,
Cheri Mello
