Hi Everyone, Just wanted to provide a little information on Luis de Carbajal Y de La Cueva he was a conquistador born in Mogodouro, Portugal who actively recruited New Christian soldiers and settlers from Portugal to Northern Mexico he became powerful in Northern Mexico he and his family became a target of Persecution due to his connections to Portugal and his Jewish ancestry.
His sister was Francisca Nunez de Carbajal she and he children were very brutally executed by the inquisition here is a link about her. I have seen a different link that discusses the horrible details of how she and her children suffered but it is too graphic to post here. I have Y-DNA and Family Finder matches to Northern Mexico. http://www.executedtoday.com/2007/12/08/1596-francisca-nunez-de-carvajal-her-children-and-four-other-crypto-jews-of-her-family/ On Saturday, October 25, 2014 7:44:36 AM UTC-7, Steve Peters wrote: > > Pam, you might want to contact these folks, I think they are based in > Santa Fe.
