Groom Antonio is the son of Alferes Antonio do Rego (alferes is military ranking) and it looks like Maria Luis do Nascimento.
Bride Maria is the daughter of Niculas (shouldn't that be Nicolau?) da Costa Carneiro and Maria de Sam Miguel. NOTE: Enter mother of the bride as Maria de Sao Miguel, with modern spelling and put the "Sam" stuff in your notes. Same goes for the Niculas/Nicolau thing, once someone clears that up. I've never seen Niculas, but that's what the record says. I know that the Costa Carneiros were around the Ponta Garca area. Did they originate from there or from Ribeira Grande? I don't have any direct Costa Carneiro ancestors but have siblings of my ancestors who married into that family.
