Bob F,

You can get Arrifes online.

Go to tombo.pt
Click on the British flag if you want to navigate in English
Left column: Click Azores or Acores
Left column: Click Sao Miguel
Left column: Click Ponta Delgada
Left column: Click Arrifes

You can see all the CCA's holdings off the Tombo site (at the CCA you have
to guess and click). Arrifes happens to have an index! But it's for
baptisms for 1900 only :( You'll have to go through the 1858 baptisms
looking for your Antonio. If you are lucky, they made a note in the margin
about his death in the 1950s.

Good luck,
Cheri Mello
Listowner, Azores-Gen
Researching: Vila Franca, Ponta Garca, Ribeira Quente, Ribeira das Tainhas,
Achada
