Thanks Tomas, This study is interesting but it doesn't collect enough samples from the Central and Western Azores. The MtDNA study is much more thorough and fair in that respect although it labels all samples with origins in Africa as African it doesn't differentiate between North African and Sub Saharan African.
It would be nice if someone did an updated more thorough study of the Azores studying each island analyzing MtDNA and Y-DNA and Autsomal DNA that was fair as far as the number of samples obtained.
