MEDEIROS- In Middletown,July 8,1981, Joseph C. Medeiros, in his 70th year.
Resident formerly of 159 Park Holm. Funeral from the Memorial Funeral Home,
375 Broadway,
Friday at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lucy's Church at 9. Calling
hours
Thursday, 7-9. Relatives and friends are invited.
Joseph C. Medeiros
Middletown- Joseph C. Medeiros,69, formerly of 159 Park Holm , Newport,died
this morning at the Grand Islander Health Care Center.
Mr. Medeiros worked as a laborer for several businesses in the Newport
area.He was an army veteran of World War 11.
Born in East Providence,April 23,1912, he was a son of the late Joseph and
Virginia
Perreira [ misspelled it is Pereira ] Medeiros.
He leaves five brothers, George Medeiros, Frank Medeiros and John
Medeiros, all of Newport, Arthur Medeiros of Virginia Beach, and Henry Medeiros
of Lawton,Okla.; two sisters, Alice Randall of Newport and Mary Trinidad of
Rumford ; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. From the Memorial Funeral Home,
Newport,
with a mass of Christian burial in St. Lucy's Church at 9. Burial will be in
St. Columba's Cemetery.
In cemetery his grave is in sec. 44 and he is buried in plot 627 at St. Columba
's Cemetery. I can't remember but I think cemetery is in Middletown, R.I. My
Uncle Joe was the oldest son and my father George M. Medeiros was the youngest
son and child. George M. Medeiros Jr.
