Cheri; I’m trying to ‘flesh out’ my ancestors siblings families to try to make connections with other on ‘the list’ and I’m finding it very frustrating to be looking for one person and see all these other ‘most likely’ connections and not know what to do with them to keep them organized. I save each of the documents I find on my ancestors and load them into my FTM program. I guess I need to make some folders and sub-folders on my desktop and put the documents into them. Labeling each folder by extended family name, for future use. It’s all soooooooooooo time consuming.
Thanks and take care, Sam in Maz Sent from Windows Mail From: Cheri Mello Sent: Thursday, April 2, 2015 2:12 PM To: [email protected] Sam, I guess you could tie this sub-families together and have them "floating" in your database. Then when you make the connection, you only have a few mouse clicks to tie them in. Then your tree will really sprout. Maybe others have different ideas. When trying to locate an ancestor’s birth, death, marriage document I constantly come across other documents that seem highly likely to be in my line but; for which I do not yet have a connection. Once you save these documents, how do you most efficiently organized them for future reference in trying to place them in your tree? Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.
