They have modern indices :D. Look at the end pages of each section; they have neatly written lists for the years covered. At least one section of index doesn't quite correspond to the dates it's supposed to, so it bears double checking the other adjacent indices too. It's lovely to be able to go through the names and pick out the ones you're looking for. It makes for very quick progress.
