Incredible! What an interesting story!

As an aside; we have here in Mazatlán, Mexico, The Cathedral of the Immaculate
Conception. It is purported to be the only Catholic Church in the world that
has the “Jewish Star” adorning its windows. There are 28 Jewish stars in 28 of
it’s stained glass windows. The story that I have been able to find relates
that when the church was built, 1875 to 1899, a wealthy Jewish family
contributed money so that the church could be built. I have heard but; been
unable to find in print, that these Jewish people also practiced their faith in
an alcove of the church. I have no idea if this is true but; find it heart
warming to think that kind of co-operation might have once existed..

Regardless of the true origin of the stars, they are indeed there! My husband
and I volunteer at the Cathedral on days when the cruise ships come in and we
point them out to many a tourist.
