Lillian, This particular record reads that his full name is Antonio do Rego Quintanilha. Some priests were very detailed in collecting their data, others not so much. Also in many instances people added surnames or dropped them. The Quintanilha could be the surname of one of the parents, grandparents or even further back in his line.
