Here was a response sent to me instead of the list:

She also comments re buried in this matrix (not the cemetery).  That
depends he didn't say church either so it could have been the cemetery as
they were already in place at that time.

It was common for people that could afford it, they would be pay for the
service for the monks to accompany the deceased and his family/friends to
the burial site.  Also common to be buried wearing one of their tunics.>>
