Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has stumbled this couple in their research; Joao de Simas and his wife Caterina de Resendes of S. Jorge, Nordeste, Sao Miguel. They are my 7th great-grandparents. I have not been able to find a birth or death record for either of them. They were married 1 Nov 1693 in Sao Jorge, Nordeste. Joao was the son of Francisco da Costa and Maria da Costa; Caterina was the daughter of Paulo da Costa and Isabel Maria Cabeceiras; all of S. Jorge, Nordeste.
Joao and Caterina have 2 children that I have found - Manuel de Simas Resendes and Maria (no surname yet). If anyone can add anything to this family I would greatly appreciate it and would love to hear from anyone that is also their descendant.
