Eric, Thank you, have taken the Family Finder test at FTDNA. Have 3rd, 4th & 5th cousins, no 1st or 2nd. Have contacted any who have names or ancestral surnames that sound Portuguese, but no info on Velma. Guess we need a bigger base, more folks testing to break these brick walls. Dave
