Looks like Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) fixed the notification for the Family
Finder test results. I now know when your results are in!

I do realize some people are testing family groups. They are testing as
many close relatives as they can. That is good, as it will help us figure
things out sooner.

However, I'm starting to see the "surprise" matches. What I mean by that is
it appears people are starting to find relatives who are in the 2nd cousin
group (2nd cousins, 2nd cousins once removed, etc) and they did NOT know
about these people! Also, I am starting to see DNA come in with 100+
centiMorgans (cMs - a genetic unit of measure). This is really exciting!
The Azores DNA project and the Madeira DNA project are really starting to
take shape!

If you have tested your DNA with FTDNA and have not checked your Family
Finder results in a while, log in a take a look. If you haven't tested your
DNA yet and are thinking about it, the Sizzling Summer Sale will happen in
late summer. I don't know if they will put Family Finder on sale, so we
will have to wait and see.

And if you are someone whose tree is "done" and don't see what you can get
out of it, there are things that can be gleaned from it. We all have that
"pai incognito" branch. If it isn't too far back, we may be able to figure
it out. It will help validate your existing research. And you may be able
to help some of these people who have no tree, due to adoption or a recent
pai incognito. You may be their 2nd cousin. Although you may not know
anything whatsoever about their birth parent(s), you may be able to help
them with their tree from their greats or 2 greats on back.

This DNA stuff is starting to become pretty exciting!
