You hardly ever see double names at a baptism. Of course, it does look more like Joao Pedro more than anything else. But it could be Joao Paulo, or Junipero with a spelling variation. The Pedro part is identical to the part below that says he is native of Sam Pedro of Ribeira Grande. That by the way, is the same as Ribeira Seca de Ribeira Grande, church of Sao Pedro. It's that telltale "P".
