There is an index for Sao Pedro baptisms. The priest wrote 'baptizado', using the masculine tense. It threw me for a loop, so I crossed checked with the index. The name is clearly Mathide in the index. According to Wikipedia, it is the second most popular Portuguese female-name for girls, second only to Maria.
