A naturalization certificate from the United States would not be stamped by the consulate in Sao Miguel. You must be referring to something else.
If he was indeed naturalized, then his naturalization packet needs to be obtained from the USCIS. George is hoping that people research forward enough that someone has this couple. Too bad people decide to research their family a month before going over there. It doesn't work that way. It just looks like it on the TV shows. Some of those celebrities don't make the season that they want and they keep researching for another year! Of course they are looking for a line that makes for a good story for TV.
