Hi All, I am wondering if anyone is researching or has any information on the
family of Joao Sousa Soares who married Barbara Costa. They lived in Santo
Antonio Alem Capelas and had children there roughly in the 1680' s to 1690's.
Unfortunately, it seems that the records from those years were destroyed or
missing so I am trying to piece the family together. It seems that Joao Sousa
Soares may have been the son of Sebastiao Sousa and Barbara Soares who had a
son named Joao in the parish in 1654. Based on his parents last names I am
thinking it is a good chance that he is a fit. I have also read that the Soares
family from that parish have a long lineage.Does anyone have any further
information on Joao Sousa Soares/Barbara Costa. Sebastiao Sousa/Barbara Soares.
Or anythingconnecting them to earlier Soares generations? Thanks--
