I am posting this as matter of interest in the name Maria. I have seen examples of first names being posted but this is a first for me. "Maria do Espirito Santo, filha de Francisco de Almeida..." Now if only all baptisms were like this, especially for Maria! Some of you probably know that people are in fact baptised with more than one name, but in practice, at least in the past, only one name was recorded, with exceptions, as you can see here.
