Hi Cheri,

I took a quick look, and I believe this is the account written by Thomas
Ashe. He was a rogue who never visited the islands, and is a completely
unreliable source even regarding his own life. I have a contemporary
review of the book that is absolutely scathing.

I have a bit more info, but my computer is down and I can't access the
files till I transfer them to a new machine. If there's interest, I can
pull some paper for more info.
