I called the civil registry in Praia do Vitorio to see about getting a copy of a birth cert. They told me since I'm in the states to go through my local consolate. So I ordered it from San Francisco and was super excited about it all. When it came it is only the index, which doesn't give me the info I needed about my grandfather's parents. Does anyone know if I'm going to have to pay again and re-order it from the civil registry in Terceira? I'm super bummed about having to pay again and even moreso if I have to wait for the processing again.
